Who's been doing what.
Running a household means a lot of small things happening repeatedly, by someone. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, groceries. The work is constant and mostly invisible — nobody's counting, and most of the time that's fine.
But imbalances build up quietly. One person ends up carrying more, nobody quite notices, and it only surfaces when things get tense. A little visibility goes a long way.
MonthFirst is for households who want to see who's been doing what. Everyone logs dots as they do things. Each person's dots are their colour. At the end of the month, sit down together, look at what the month looked like, and reset.
What you do with that picture is up to you.
Getting started
Open the app and tap Create a new share code. Share the code with your household by tapping Copy code, or use QR to let someone scan their way in on another device.
Users
When someone joins for the first time, they enter a name. Each person is assigned a colour. Dots are coloured by who logged them, so contributions are visible at a glance.
Tap Switch user at the bottom to change who you're signed in as on this device.
Tracking
Tap + next to a task to log one occurrence for yourself. Tap − to remove your last dot on that task.
Tap Edit to rename tasks, set a target for how many times something should happen in the month, add new tasks, or remove old ones. Tap Save when done.
Each task can have a target — a number of empty slots shown alongside the dots. The household fills them in together.
End of month
When the month is done, sit down and look at it. The scores at the bottom show each person's share of the total. Then tap Reset month three times to clear the dots and start the next month fresh. Tasks and users stay.
Your share code
The share code is the only credential — anyone who has it can join and contribute. Keep it within your household.
Tap Forget share code three times to disconnect from the current device without affecting anyone else.
